Technical Lab Session

Lecturer: 4 Lecturers to conduct each individual lab session

Session: 2 sessions per day for 2 days

Time: 9am to 6pm (12pm lunch)

PS: Pls bring your own laptop on 1st day.

Note: Lecturers agreed to bring over lab equipments (Main Campus) to Penang to facilitate the compulsary engineering lab sessions from SEM 1- SEM 4. This will eliminates the needs of all Batch 3 students to attend the lab practice in KL, hence will promote convenient to working adults. However, students still required to attend graduation ceremony in KL.

For class 20th, we will have to check different date in next month (SEP). Proposed date will be on 13-14 SEP (Class 20th) before Raya (TBC).

Industrial Training exemption personal report due date is 15 Aug 2008 (Sat). You can submit to Relau Training Centre from 10am-12pm. All students need to constantly keep in touch with the supervisor thru email from time-to-time for the progress of Final Project until you had finished/ submitted the Final Thesis to us. Final Project Thesis due date fall on 6 Sep 2008 (Sat). Please make use of the free time within this and next month since we don’t have many classes left.

Sem 4 Final Exam will fall on a week after the class 20th. Actual date to be confirm later. The lecturers for respective modules will mark your final papers exam sheets and hopefully able to provided Registrar Department all results update before the Graduation Ceremony in mid NOV 2008. For all missing result from previous SEM, you may directly contact the relevant lecturer in-charge to relect the mark on your transcript.

Project 1 Follow Up: Proposal Presentation

Hi all Batch3 Students,

Dr Sha, Mr Ezril, Cik Noorazlina and the FEIT Internal Coordinator will come over to Penang at 26 July 2008 (SAT) for the Project I Presentation. All students in 6 groups are compulsory to get ready their proposal and do the presentation (Power Point slides) for each group on the session start from 9AM at Relau Training Center.

You are required to save the slides in soft copy (PPT format) into a USB flash drive so that it can be transfered to the laptop for projector display. Individual time will be notified on the same day. Please contact your supervisor thru email for more information regarding the content of presentation and make sure yourself are available on Saturday (26th).

Dear all,

this message is dedicated to Final Year Project-some changes applies, please read it carefully:

Group: 2 students per group

Total groups: 6 (Batch 3 Penang)

Supervisor: Mr Ezril (FEIT) for all groups

Supervisor contact: ezril.feit@iuctt.edu.my

Topic: Choose ONLY topic which related to Microprocessor/Microcontroller-each group may apply their own expertise in deciding which type of controller/ chipset to be used; however, you must get approval from the supervisor 1st before conducting any research to maintain relevancy.

Proposal Time Frame: Each group may start contacting the supervisor via EMAIL starting 26 June-3 July 2008 to discuss about the TOPIC+PROPOSAL. If you feel that your previous (OLD) proposal is still relevant, kindly email it to your supervisor for final decision.

Project Time Frame: Each group members must ACTIVELY involved for the research & design of the project AND shall arrange their own meeting time for communication/ discussion purposes among members.

Facilities: The Training Room at Relau is open to group discussion on weekend 9am-5pm upon request. Request can be arrange with course coordinator.

Presentation: The supervisor for all groups is expect to come over to Penang to conduct the Project Presentation marking. Target due date will fall on 2 AUGUST 2008 (Sat)-subject to change depends on groups progress. This will eliminate the requirement for students to present in KL Main Campus except to attend the Graduation Ceremony held in NOV/DEC 2008.

Next Class: Class for SEM 4(With Exemption) / SEM 6(W/O Exemption) is expected to start 1 week after the presentation. There are still 3 classes left.
